You might have noticed, but back in May a small wedding occurred down in London, and the world was a flurry! We were particularly excited as ten of our special Diana Princess of Wales Memorial Blankets would also be in attendance along with their new owners, youngsters from the Diana Award, who had been invited to attend the wedding. The charity encourages young people to help others in their community and we were delighted to be there with them.
The ten youngsters joined 2,640 people with a ringside view of Harry, his bride Meghan Markle and all their guests arriving at St George’s Chapel for their nuptials on May 19th. And what a view they had. Whilst using their new blankets to sit on to have their picnic they got some wonderful shots of the Bride and Groom as well as a few lovely photos of their day in the fabulous sunshine.
The Diana Award was set up after the death of Princess Diana as Britain's official tribute to her. It is the last remaining charity in Britain to bear the name of Diana, Princess of Wales and has helped more than 47,000 young people whilst operating an anti-bullying campaign and mentoring scheme. We were delighted to be part of Prince Harry and Meghan's day but also honoured to be associated with such a fabulous charity once again.
