MacLean of Duart Modern tartan. This is a classic red green based tartan.This clan held extensive lands in the Western Isles and mainland of the Highlands. They claim descent from Gillean of the Battle Axe, who lived during the reign of King Alexander III. The MacLeans followed the MacDonalds, Lords of the Isles, and fought at the Battle of Harlaw in 1411. They became powerful, but declined in influence in the 16th century. They were Royalists and supported the Royal Stuarts. In 1632 Lachlan MacLean of Morven was created a Baronet. At the Battle of Inverkeithing seven MacLeans, all brothers, died trying to protect their chief. As each fell he called, “Another for Hector”.

If, for any reason, you are dissatisfied with your order, you can return them in an unused condition and in the original packaging within 14 days of delivery for a full refund of the cost of your goods.
Custom made/bespoke items and tartan fabric are excluded from the returns policy except for when a genuine defect has been identified.
Please note: We will refund the price of the item to the purchaser or exchange the product once it is received by us. A refund of the delivery charge will be given in the instance of incorrect, damaged or faulty goods.
