Auld Scotland Dark Skies

Lochcarron first produced the Auld Scotland tartan in January 2008 to mark the 250th anniversary of the National Bard, Robert Burns, to be celebrated the following year. Inspired by the modern version of his toast to the Haggis, Auld Scotland is quoted in the final verse of the immortal toast. Exclusive to Lochcarron of Scotland, the Auld Scotland Dark Skies tartan introduces a deeper and richer colour palette, evoking the dramatic tones of the Scottish landscape and the enduring legacy of Burns. Dark shades of blue and brown reflect the rugged Ayrshire countryside, while a subdued gold continues to symbolise the barley essential for crafting whisky, Scotland’s national drink, traditionally raised in a Toast to the Haggis.
