MacLellan Ancient
The MacLellan Tartan can be traced back to 1881 and has also been associated with the name Maclaren, Gillies and MacLeish. The MacLellans as a family were numerous in Galloway and also around Aberfeldy and Morar and, although they are claimed as septs of the MacDonald, MacNab, MacLennan and Douglas Clans, they now established themselves as a strong independent Clan.
