Paisley Ancient

Paisley is a town in Scotland situated near Glasgow in the west central Lowlands of Scotland. This tartan was created in 1952 by Allan C. Drennan, a designer who worked for Anchor Mills in Paisley, when his design won first prize in a Kelso Highland Show competition as the Paisley district tartan. The design features elements of the MacDonald clan tartan. It is often worn as a district tartan but also regarded as a family tartan for those named Paisley.
